First of all, the guys at the counter were friendly and helpful. At least it seemed that way at first. I went to see if I could get a key reprogrammed for my car. I was told it would be about $150, ok. Then it Turned out it would be $250. Still better than the $350 it would cost to replace. Then when they couldn’t do that they charged me $95.23 for it. And I had to wait over 10 days for an appointment.

Amazing staff and the best customer service on town, if not beyond.

They got me. They got me fair and square. I had originally lost my key to my truck and had to get another one made for it. I did not know that when the locksmith created the new quay it would delete the old key. When I found the old key, I went out to use it on the truck and it did not work. Ended up going to mobile Tech off of a reference and they stated that the tow truck driver must have known some secret trick to get it started because it worked. They knew better because when I asked him why the key was not working he said that the truck no longer recognized that key as viable. For him to know that, they would have had to be there tried the key and seen it not work or spoken to the tow driver, which could not have happened since he told me the other story. I talk to the locksmith and he explained why it was not recognized. Either way, mobile Tech is a $185 richer due to my mistake. I'll let you decide how you wanna take this story.

If you’re going to leave a review, at least state the facts. You called with a no start concern. You requested it be towed in and with a key present. We proceeded to diagnose the no start issue, which was determined to be a intermittent failure of the transponder in the key. As the vehicle would intermittently start. It wasn’t until we presented our findings that you said you just had a key made by a locksmith and that you would pick it up and have him warranty the key. We presented you two options: Option A - We charge you for new keys and the tow you requested. Option B - We charge you the diagnostic fee and tow. Said diagnostic fee was discussed BEFORE you brought the vehicle in. Can you just take some personal responsibility for owning a older vehicle and stop pretending be a victim? Maybe you should have called your “locksmith” first since he just did a key? Let me life coach... next time you call to have a tow on your vehicle and request a diagnosis, surprise! They say to keep business and personal separate, but what do they know? I’d been friends with Dave, owner of this establishment, for years before doing much business with him. Let me tell you I’m glad I finally did! he has ALWAYS looked out for me to the utmost on all of my vehicles, most notably an older project truck I’d been jerked around on by many others. I’d recently had to “fire” the previous mechanic, leaving Dave and crew with a Frankenstein of sorts- he jumped in without hesitation, taking the time to do things RIGHT, putting his top guys on the job, and even storing the vehicle securely when I had to travel for work (he even helped find the perfect used car for me once, on very short notice, when I was passing back through town). All in all I can’t say enough nice things about the business, the man, and the dedicated crew he’s assembled- price, service, and professionalism are the best you’ll find anywhere. HIGHEST possible recommendation

Don't go to anyone else hands down the best mechanic I've ever been to!! This place treats you like family and not only the owner but the entire staff is very knowledgeable! They are also some of the nicest me mechanics I have ever met! I didn't feel like I was getting pushed over, they knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle right away after I was at my wit's end trying to figure it out myself.

I wish I could give MobileTech more than 5 stars. We were in a serious bind after losing our rental car key on the beach and MobileTech was the ONLY place in Wilmington that could help us. They not only saved our vacation by getting us a new key made, they did it unbelievably quickly and for a much, much lower cost than we had anticipated! (As in about 500 dollars less than the dealership quoted us.) Absolutely would recommend them for anything you need. They are also CRAZY NICE in there, especially the owner. Thank you, MobileTech!!
