I usually do not write reviews; however, when an individual and a business demonstrate an remarkable level of service, I feel one is in order. My wife’s car had problems starting last Friday, so we called Mobile Tech to see if they could check it out. Despite having a very full service schedule that day, Stephen assured us that he would work it in at some point. As it turned out rats had climbed into the engine block, built a nest, chewed on a wiring harness, and since it was the weekend it would probably take a couple of days to get the parts in and installed (pitfalls of owning a Volkswagen). Stephen was outstanding in arranging for us a rental car, keeping in constant communication with us over the progress of the repair, and the repair was completed at a much lower cost than what we would have paid at the dealership. Thank you to the mechanics, and thank you Stephen for your level of service.

We had our car in for a dragging starter. After having the car for a while they quickly contacted us with an estimate for $650 for other repairs (that were due on the vehicle) and said the starter was fine, but our newer battery was faulty and should be replaced. The issue didn't sound like it would be a battery given the symptoms, but I'm not the world's best mechanic either. We picked the vehicle up and had the battery checked and it tested fine on our own and at the auto parts store. We continued to have issues w/ the starter. We took the vehicle elsewhere and the starter was indeed bad. Mobile Tech did a good job on the services they performed, but unfortunately they were not the services we needed/requested. UPDATE: We replaced the starter 9 months ago and haven't had an issue since. The battery was fine as we suspected and continues to work properly in the vehicle.

Not recommended

The expert team at MobilTech saved our family Prius! Stuck out of town at the beach with a Prius is no way to spend a vacation. The awesome technicians at MobilTech repaired our Prius in a timely manor that allowed us to continue or vacation WITHOUT a trip to the dealership. Hands down the ONLY place to bring your hybrid to in Wilmington, NC.

Trustworthy, efficient, thorough, affordable, friendly. I don't typically trust mechanics so I was taking my car to the dealership. It turns out Dave & the guys at Mobile Tech do a better job for less money. I really like that Doug wanted to make sure I understood completely (which I didn't because I just want to drive and not worry about knowing how it runs LOL) but he did his best I felt comfortable knowing my car was in good hands. The waiting room & restrooms are clean & well lit. To husbands & fathers - it's safe to send your wives & college kids here if you're new in town. Thanks for being awesome, MobileTech!
