WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO FIX MY CAR!! I could not be more satisfied with the service I received at this place. I brought it in about a month ago because my car was overheating. Due to faulty repairs done at previous places, it took them two attempts to fix everything - but man did they do a great job! They cut the price on my head gasket replacement, changed belts for free, etc. They knew that I wanted to fix my car and was tired of the money I had spent lately, and they were fantastic with troubleshooting the problem and finding the right and long term solution. To top it off, last week I took it back again because my hood wouldn't close and I had some issues with noise coming from my engine. They tore apart my drive train to fix the latter and didn't charge me for either! I promptly paid for an oil change, tire rotation, and transmission service. Dave, the owner, is very forthright, honest, and clearly wants to do right by his customers. Consider me a loyal customer as I will take my car here for every service I can think of as long as I live in Wilmington (doesn't hurt that their location is a nice 10 block walk from my house downtown!). WARNING!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! MY CAR WAS SERVICED AND LEFT WITH A BROKEN A/C!! I recently received service from MobileTech. My A/C was running a little low and needed to be recharged. I paid for the service and left thinking my AC would be working in the same or better condition. I was wrong. On the drive home, after being serviced, the A/C completely stopped working. After several calls, I finally got a hold of the owner. He REFUSED to fix the mistake and REFUSED to make good on his TERRIBLE SERVICE. I left there with my car in WORSE CONDITION. I was even willing to go back if they would work with me on the service charge for a busted air compressor. They refused. Needless to say, I made the mistake of trusting MobileTech.

When I was looking for a mechanic, I asked friends who was good and honest. More than one say go see Dave. They were right. I have since referred friends myself. Dave has worked on both of my cars a few times. His estimates have always been a good price and the work has been done right. Glad to have a mechanic I can trust.

Having been burned by salesemen, mechanics and dealerships in the past, I've grown a little wary of those who call the shots about what kind of money I need to sink into my car. How refreshing, then, to meet David at Mobile Tech. Recommended to me by a friend, this tiny garage across from Greenfield Park was a little tough to find, but definitely worth the search. Although he specializes in foreign makes, David was happy to take in my Ford when its engine was vibrating so heavily that I lived in fear that at any moment either a) my car would implode or b) the entire frame might just fall off. From the minute I called to make the appointment to the moment I drove my softly purring Focus out of Mobile Tech's parking lot, David was professional, friendly, honest and fair. He kept me apprised of the status of my car at all times, worked very quickly and was happy to hold my car for me when I was unable to pick it up for a couple of days. I'd done some research on engine mounts (as I suspected that might be the issue), so I knew what kind of cost to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, then, when David's estimate came in quite a bit below what I was ready to hear for the replacement of all three engine mounts. David also has great connections with other auto services in the area and was able to recommend a good tire guy to me (and to kindly remind me that - I know, I know - my tires are as bald as Mr.Clean.)
